Teaching for me, has always been a passion. Ever since I first learned to play the drums myself, I've delighted in sharing the gift of music with others, be it peers, kids, or people twice my age. Students who study with me learn to play, read, and interpret a wide variety of styles in a relaxed and fun environment that yields rewarding results. I've been teaching for going on ten years and hold a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Long Beach State. Lots of experience with kids and/or beginners.

Lessons are held at Drum World in San Mateo, CA. I teach on Wed/Thurs/Fri between 1-7pm. Currently lessons are $40 for half an hour.

The curriculum will vary somewhat according to the students goals. Most beginners will start out on a practice pad learning the basics of rhythm, technique, reading, and listening. From there we move onto the drumset and/or more advanced orchestral percussion. From there the possibilities are endless!

Recitals are held about once a year. I hire professional musicians to accompany the students. This gives them the thrilling and challenging experience of playing in a live concert setting that is fun for both parents and students alike!
